Cancer Alliance Team Shortlisted for Patient Experience Award

The Northern Cancer Alliance (NCA) has been shortlisted for a national healthcare award.

The Patient Experience Network National Awards are the first and only awards programme to recognise best practice in patient experience across all parts of health and social care in the UK.

The NCA has been shortlisted in the Category of Cancer Experience of Care Award.  This is for the development of ‘My Wellbeing Space’ an online resource designed by patients and carers for patients and carers to help during and after a cancer diagnosis.

Clare Doney, Clinical Lead for Personalised Care, Northern Cancer Alliance, said: “Northern Cancer Alliance are delighted to have received national recognition for My Wellbeing Space.  It’s built on content that was developed by County Durham & Darlington Foundation Trust and has involved patients and carers at every step to ensure the content is about what really matters to them.  We receive great feedback from people using the space and hope it will continue to be a valued resource for anyone affected by cancer.”

The awards ceremony will take place on the 3 October 2024 in Birmingham.
