Communities of Practice
Education and Events
Communities of Practice (CoPs) are networks of professionals with shared interests or goals. They provide knowledge, learning, and support, and welcome anyone with relevant experience.
Members share updates, seek advice, and solve problems together. CoPs are informal and flexible—not operational meetings—and help improve patient care by exchanging good practices, sharing resources like educational funding information, and supporting continuous learning.
The Northern Cancer Alliance have been encouraging the development of CoPs across a wide range of professional groups which include cancer clinical educators, oncology pharmacists and several CNS groups, to name a few.
The Cancer Clinical Educators CoP has been up and running for over a year now and they have found it to be very beneficial.
Email us if you would like to find out if there is a Community of Practice covering your area of work or are interested in setting one up nencicb.nca@nhs.net.
