Adele Collins, Advanced Dietitian Prehabilitation at County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust and Chloé McMurray, Personalised Care Cancer Prehabilitation Lead & Specialist Dietitian at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will deliver a session on universal nutrition information that all healthcare professionals can support patients with, covering:
- Eat well guide and cultural/dietary variations
- Protein
- Food fortification
- Tips for symptoms (such as taste change, fatigue, nausea etc)
- Red flags and considerations
- Diet and cancer myths
- GLP-1s
- Signposting to free nutrition resources/information that both patients and healthcare professionals can use, particularly if there is no access to a dietitian in services.
