This webinar, presented by Mr John Moir, Consultant HPB/Transplant Surgeon, will have a primary focus on early diagnosis of HPB cancers (in particular pancreatic, with reference to the national case-finding pilot regarding new onset diabetes), whilst reviewing current referral guidelines (with an opportunity to compare local pathways) and discussing optimal investigations including decision-making regarding imaging modalities.
Socioeconomic implications will also be discussed in particular reference to the recent national GIRFT review. Furthermore, the referral criteria and management of commonly presenting benign HPB conditions will be reviewed, such as benign liver lesions (adenoma, FNH, haemangioma, liver cysts) and gallbladder polyps.
