TLHC Programmes
Newcastle Gateshead Programme
The Targeted Lung Health Checks Service started in Newcastle and Gateshead in 2021. All eligible patients in Newcastle and Gateshead will receive an invite by the end of October 2023.
The Newcastle-upon-Tyne NHS Foundation Trust provides the TLHC service to people across Newcastle and Gateshead.

Tees Valley Programme
The Tees Valley Targeted Lung Health Checks Service began issuing invitations to eligible patients in September 2022. Over the next 4 years, all eligible patients registered with a GP practice in the Tees Valley area will receive an invite.
The TLHC Service in Tees Valley is provided by InHealth, in partnership with South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, North Tees and Hartlepool Foundation Trust and County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust.

South Tyneside and Sunderland Programme
From October 2022, eligible people in South Tyneside and Sunderland started to receive invites to a Lung Health Check, with a gradual increase in invitations from that point onwards. All participants will have been invited by October 2024.
South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust provides the TLHC service to people across South Tyneside and Sunderland.

North Programme
Eligible patients in North Cumbria, North Tyneside, Northumberland and County Durham will start receiving invites to a Lung Health Check in late 2023/early 2024.
The service provider for these areas is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, if you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), ask at your next COPD review whether you might be eligible for a low dose CT scan under the Lung Case Finding Project.
